programable buttons on the AS

Post by Astro_Saber »

what are some of the desired features that youve programmed into your AS?

I am wondering if it is relevant to the flashcode?

I will only be using this as a conventional radio

I hope you saw my PM. My desired features were operator selectable scan, nuissance delete, and a message that is used as an electronic "dog tag." I also have view scanlists and phone activated. High low power is done from the soft keys. The buttons are programmed as follows. Top A B switch turns scan on and off. Emergency button not used. Encryption switch turns it on and off, monitor is monitor, PTT is PTT, Rat I is niussance delete, and Rat II is light button. Some things are relevant to the flashcode. I have several channels IMBE digital. 146.520 on simplex. If you find an unused manual there are stickers and a diagram so you can label the different functions and radio controls. I hope this helps.

Lets see- I did:
Monitor- Monitor
.- Light
..- Call Response (Mostly because it causes the ID of the last unit to send you a Call Alert or Select Call to be displayed.)

A/B Switch- Zone/Zone (Allows me to quickly select the two zones that I use 95% of the time)

Secure switch- Blank/Scan- I don't use secure, so it's an easy way to turn scan on and off without digging through the menus.

Clear/Secure Rocker both blank
Top Button-Light
Moniter-Moniter
. and .. blank
A/B Scan/No Scan
Menu items: Zone, TxInhbt, Page, Call, Pwr, Psswrd

Pretty basic but it works.
