Motorola R2200D/HS

Post by xxx2fan »

I have a question about entering tone codes in the above unit.

My Vol. Fire Dept uses Tone A: 2576.8 Tone B: 1743.9
I have enterend the frequency 453.1250
When I try to enter the tone a all I can enter is 2576.0 it goes back to the number 2 digit, it will not let me go to the .0 digit to enter the .8 so it will not let me enter the above tone. I am in the A/B T&V mode.
I go to GEN mode. I can hear the signal over the minitor but with the tone codes set at 2476 and 1743 the pager will not trip.
Also the antenna is on the RF/in/out

Trying to do it with the monitor and not set off the whole systems pager.

Is there a way to do this what am I missing on the set up. I'm trying to check some Minitor V pagers

Thanks for anyone with some insight.

ok think I have found what could be the problem. Don't know where to look though I have svc manual.

When I put the unit in Gen I get <over power > indication>

When I switch unit to Hi Gen I do not get the over pwr indication. and the Service monitor will set off the pagers.
Looks like I have an issue with the service monitor. Or some thing wrong with the settings. If I just switch form
GEN to HI GEN the over pwr goes away.

Thanks for anyone that has an idea where I might start looking.

Hi 2 fan, not to pic nits but there is no R2200D only A's and B's. As for the over power indication, is the variable RF control fully clockwise? If it is, turn it CCW a little, you are over driving the amplifier.

Dave
Your 100% right. on both counts. As for the model I guess I can't read too well getting old.
The correct model is R2200B/HS.
and your suggestion corrected the problem, all is well now working perfectly.

I do thank you for your time. And I'll double check my post before I hit the button next time.
Thanks again for all your help. I'm getting to know the monitor a bit better with your help.

Can't thank you enouglf for the help.
