Have a Motorola R2024D upon power up it comes up with a checker-board display and has in the center
< Remote Self-Test> anyone have any ideas how to fix or point me in the right direction to fix.

That is normal operation. The R2024D has the secure comm and the IEEE options installed. The IEEE is being self tested at turn on (no way around it).

Can you tell me how to get the unit to proceed to the regular test screen.

Guess I am missing something as it comes to this screen and I just don't know how to get it
to the other test screens. Guess I should try to find a manual on the R2024D models.
