What's the trick to measuring rf output @ the antenna jack of these beasties?

No trick, really. I use the external antenna adapter that mounts on the accessory connector with its self contained long thumbscrew. The RF output appears on two pins of the accy connector, and if you try to use the regular threaded antenna connector there's no ground available nearby that'll give you an accurate RF measurement. Same applies for rx sinad measurement. If you need the (M) adapter p/n I can look it up for you.

or if you can find the appropriate old speaker mic with the antenna conn on it(which was a tnc conn)
you could adapt to a bnc and make a power measurement that way also.

If you don't want to destroy a speaker mic or you don't want to deal with greed-pay then you can also homebrew one that connects directly to the antenna connection on the radio.

I use a brass or similar solderable female sma connector or even a brass screw that will thread into the radios antenna connector and some mini teflon 50 ohm coax.

Solder the center lead of the coax to the outer side of the sma connector/brass screw and solder the coax shield to another brass screw that is the same thread size as the screw on the MT1000 UDC jack.

Remove the radios antenna and carefully screw the SMA connector/brass screw connected to the coax center conductor a few turns into the MT1000/P200/Ht600 antenna connector and screw the ground screw into the UDC hold down hole and your all set.

I thought I had the adaptor and part # for the Genesis series, but all I had in bags are for the P1225/SP50, and the P110/GP300, Waris....

HLN908A: BNC adaptor for P1225/SP50..Etc..

58885705M02: Waris, P110/GP300, CT series

I also have the adaptor for the PR400/CP series, but no longer have the part number for it(stupid to toss the bag and not record the number, I know.

The adaptor for the Genesis series looks identical to the one for the P1225/SP50, except for teh center pin, but the screw thread is isolated from the adaptor's body, so you could solder a piece of braid to this with a lug for attachment to the frame of the radio(case removed).
Or use copper foil or shim stock and run it under the top cover to the frame and use the board retainer screw for a ground connection.
