IFR COM120B Advise

This forum exists for the purposes for discussing service monitors (This includes but is not limited to Motorola, HP, Aeroflex, GD, etc). Additional topics allowed include test procedures, interpretation of test results, where to find information about specific tests, antenna VSWR, return loss testing, duplexer and filter alignment, etc.

IFR COM120B Advise

Hi Guys
I have a IFR COM120B that is in as new condition, I would like to enable the tracking generator option but noboby from Aeroflex or Vicom (Aust dealer) wants to help... I understand it is just a software key so I figued it shouldnt be too hard as I have done one a few years ago.
Does anyone know if there is a person or a dealer that could help me.

Let me ask Service what the official policy is. If they really are not handling this (in other words, if I won't get in trouble doing so) I can generate a key for you. I'll have to get an official statement it is not an issue before I do so.
This is my opinion, not Aeroflex's.

I WILL NOT give you proprietary information. I make too much money to jeopardize my job.

I AM NOT the Service department: You want official info, manuals, service info, parts, calibration, etc., contact Aeroflex directly, please.
