Astro Case size...

Post by nickjc »

Hi !

Will a Secure Saber II fit dimensionally in a Astro Saber 1R Case..?

It appears to be the same size BUT I thinkt he astro might be longer than even the secure saber II..

Thanks !

Why would you want to put a saber II into a astro saber I?? Don't you want to keep your 48 or 120 channels? Anywho.. I think the astro is just a tid-bit bigger... maybe you could Mcguyver it and make it work.

Absolutely not!

The astro is about 1/4 inch tallen than even a secure regular saber. The contact pin locations are completely different as well. Of course this all applies if you are talking about a regular saber vs. an astro version. An astro II should go in an Astro R case just fine I would think.

Anything could be made to work I suppose but it would be a hell of a job. I really don't know how you would make the right connections and the two pins on the inside of the back of the astro would be a real issue for sure. There just insn't any room in there for modification.

Sorry for the bad news.

Saber 2R

If your Saber 2 is a secure model, I have a new SABER2 R case. But its not cheap $300... but its a lot cheaper than Motorola, Panik and some others.. I actually put one on EBAY last year, you don't want to know what I got for it....
