XTL1500 RX audio on GCAI

Hi,

I built a headset using a surplus GCAI connector cable and I have been using it with a MotoTRBO XPR4550.

I am now trying to use the same headset with my XTS1500. According to the service manual the pinout of the GCAI connector is exactly the same on these two radios. However, I am not getting an receive audio through Pin 3 of the GCAI connector on the XTS1500.

Do I need to reprogram the radio to get RX audio through the GCAI connector? Am I missing an option in the CPS here?

OK how about this?

Does anyone have the privacy handset for the XTL that connects to the radio through the GCAI connector? I presume that the handset is also getting audio from Pin 3. Is there any special setup or programming required to enable handset receive audio?

We have XTL1500's with handsets in service. If I recall, there is a handset selection option in the CPS. I don't recall if this switches the handset RX audio.

I looked for it and couldn't find it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I also did a search in help for "handset" and came up empty.

Yea I have been through CPS for this radio in some detail now and I cannot find any handset setting.
