OVERVIEW
Motorola Solutions announces the cancellation of the WARIS PORTABLES HT 750 / HT 1250 & LS+ /
Federal HT (US) / PR 860 VHF & UHF portables. These models are sold in both the United States &
Canada excluding the Federal HT models.

MODEL CANCELLATION ROLLOUT
The WARIS PORTABLES HT 750 / HT 1250 & LS+ / Federal HT (US) / PR 860 VHF & UHF models will
be canceled and no longer available for order after OCTOBER 12th 2015 or while supplies last. The last ship date will be NOVEMBER 12th 2015.

Aftermarket product support will be available for the WARIS PORTABLES HT 750 / HT 1250 & LS+ /
Federal HT (US) / PR 860 VHF & UHF models via commercially reasonable efforts post cancellation
through the Customer Support Centers (CSC).

While I'm sure it's been covered before, pray tell, what is the "Federal" HT750 capable of that the "Civilian" HT750 isn't?

Non-competitive bids because the model number ends in FD and only federal MRs have access to them?

Probably. I can't see what the HT750 could possibly be "enhanced" to do beyond what it does by default...

Whoa... so just like that no radio to "replace" it thats analog.. theyre saying MOTOTRBO only?

Digital is the way of the future... This is a business tactic to make certain of that. You can't (really) buy a new steam engine anymore, they're all gas or diesel... Same concept.

Sure

But MotoTRBO supports analog just fine

Look at all the public safety agencies running around with XTS5000s and analog only Flashcodes lmao

The TRBO radios are also excellent performers on analog. My XPR6350 and 7550 (both UHF) can hear weak stuff that is like -121dbm whereas other portables (including my two XTS5000s) won't even unmute on.
