Will A Saber Battery fit on an Astro Saber?

Post by Mopar078 »

I saw they had different part numbers and was wondering if they are the same? Also are the batteries on Ebay like this one worth buying? Thanks

Saber Battery

Post by Zaputil »

The same battery works for both radios. The differences are the capacity (mAh rating) and Intrinsically Safe rating. The one on Ebay doesn't say who the manufacturer is, only that it is for a Saber. Some aftermarket batts are better than others. ( Someone once posted Kendoo should be Ken-don't)

other saber compatibility

Post by jedi_saber »

On the same saber note, what else is compatible with the sabers/astro sabers??
How about the MVA car adapters, or speakermics and stuff?

I sometimes stumble across astro spkrmics on ebay and they look cooler than the old square saber ones, and wonder if they'd work on a regular saber...any thoughts/experiences?

THOSE SABER BATETRIES AUCTION

Post by CHEFA2001 »

Hi, I purchased one of those specific batteries about 8 months or so ago.
It would not even fit to my astro saber.
I was ready to take a rubber mallet to get it to slide on but I decided that I rather call them and request a refund.

Don't waste your $$, buy original.

Could have been only that one batt was a defect but I was not willing to take a chance with it seeing that I might need to use my radio to call for a man down or such and would not want to risk it.
