SLR8000 Status led solid red

Post by arlojanis »

A SLR8000 had a solid red status led. The RDAC logs show 4 interop transmit frequency 136.000.000 error entries. A PA comm detect N/A 0. and the last entry was interop major detect tx frequency. I tried to save the logs and got a RDAC error 4365. What caused the shutdown? Do the errors add up or is the last entry the only one to worry about? Why does RDAC not save logs?

Just speculation but if it was trying to actually transmit on 136 MHz into a frequency selective combiner or duplexer then the PA probably got very upset with the high reverse power.

RDAC is strange, it doesn't read logs from machines unless asked to. Generally with logs the first fault is usually what triggered the incident while last last fault is what's killed it.

136.000.000 is not used as an operating frequency. It is just shown at the end of that line.
