I belong to a fire department that has a M120 radio in the cab of the truck; what i want to do is bolt a weathertight box on the back of the truck and put a extra speaker and mic in the box. is there a way i can wire the extra speaker and mic to the 16 pin acc. connector on the back of the radio? will and M120 Audio Circuitry drive 2 speakers? i was also thinking about using an Amplified speaker in the back so i would have a little bit of volume control without having to jump in the cab and adjust it. But i really need help in wiring the speaker and mic to the accessory jack. Thanks

You can hook up an ext spkr and mic on the 16 pin here's the pinout:

if you are using the internal spkr this will be o.k. with the external.

Make sure you use the ext mic (pin 2 or 3 ?, I forget) instead of the flat transmit audio pin. Also, some after market mics don't supply enough audio so you should use a motorola original. Also be careful, the speaker negative is NOT ground. If you ground it you'll cause problems in the radio.
