For all you Visar lovers out there (anybody?) new Visars will be canceled forever on March 29, 2002. Thank God.

Buy an EX500/600 instead, early shipments seem to be holding up well. They are actually quite tough.

Whoo Hoo!! Not that it matters much, we hadn't sold any in about 5 years, stayed as far away as possible. It would have been a pretty good radio, if they only could've made the controller board as sturdy as the RF board.

I still have to take care of ( service) about 75 UHF Visars. I will keep my fingers crossed that I can get parts!

We have about 500 in circulation, trunked and conventional, and I wish they would stop shipping repair parts today! Figure around five years for parts obsolescence, we'll be fixing them for a while yet. Damn!

Am I the only person who has a bugger of a time getting a new Visar case to fit properly?

THANK GOD...everybody thinks they are the coolest little radios and wants to carry one when I bring them out to play paintball w/ them with.....I myself always choose the MX350S..They look at me like I am crazy....I try to explain to them the glory behind the decision, but nobody can understand.....Thats why I hang out at batlabs...a place where people understand decisions like that.
