Keynote pager DTMF tones

Can I program my Two-Tone Keynote pager to alert me to a DTMF tone? For example could I set it to alert me on DTMF "1" by programing tones 697/1209? or to DTMF "27" with 697/852 or 1477/1209 or any combonation of the tones? Or will it not work because the two tones are sent at the same time. The tone could be sent for a few seconds, if needed, for the pager to respond. Is there a list of specific tones I can use, or can I enter any tone? I think this would be a great way to do a voice pager via phone link or radio without needing a two tone encoder in every radio. i would say this would not work. if you listen to what your keynote is receiving, the two tones are sent one at a time, while DTMFs are sent both at once (you seem to already know this). one thing i can think of though: on some keypads, if you hold two buttons down in the same row or column, instead of a DTMF tone, you get just the single tone for that row or column. if you have a radio that does this, you could program your pager for, say, column 1 freq and then column 2 freq, and page it by holding 1+4 and then 2+5 for example. seems that about 1 second duration per tone works, but it may depend on the paging terminal. On 2001-12-04 22:26, EC-7 wrote:
