I appologize in advance, as I think this issue has been hammered to death, but I just couldn't find the thread(s)!
Question: Does anyone know if the current ASTRO P & M CPS 2.0 is ALSO shipping with the equivalent DOS RSS version? And, if so, is the DOS RSS as current as the CPS 2.0, or is the DOS RSS for ASTRO P & M already been effectively frozen, while CPS will continue to advance in newer versions?
Has anyone seen any official Motorola announcements on this?
Thanks, in advance, for your help!

As far as September Motorola shipped Windows CPS and DOS RSS at the same time. That was the last thing I got from them. There was a papre in the box about two or three stating that DOS RSS was not longer available. I would say get what you get. Consider the DOS version a "bonus" or something. I did not expeect it but I got it. I do not see CPS advancing. I have not even used CPS 2.0 to program my ASIII. What for? it already works the way i want it too.
The latest Astro DOS RSS (9.05.00) is fully compatible with the latest Astro CPS (2.00.00). There are no extra features available in the CPS as compared to DOS (yet). Shaun, someone on the board posted the readme text for CPS 2.00.00 last week. It did not contain any reference to increasing the scan list from 10 to 20. If that does ever happen, it'll probably be in CPS only, to keep others from figuring out how it was done in DOS RSS & modifying their versions to do the same.

My question is whether the CPS 2.0 package is shipping with DOS version also.
Well, you also asked if the RSS was "frozen" in comparison to the CPS, which seemed to me a question about compatibility. Someone else had already answered whether or not they shipped together.
