I am in need of several of the mounting screws that you use to attach thet GM300/Maxtrac to the mobile bracket. I can't seem to find a Motorola part number for this. Can anyone help out ?

Hi:

Part Number for the T- Screw is 0380105F01

Last time I checked they were .70 User / about .50 wholesale.

Motorola is pretty proud of that 10-32 x 5/16
Tee-Knob Screw

Anyhow any 10-32 Machine Screw will work, JUST MAKE SURE its no longer than 5/16" Long.

On one side of the radio it can damage some
componets if the screw is too long

They are METRIC threads on the radio!!!!
I use a TORX round/pan head bolt so it is harder for someone to take a radio.

Monty,
The Tee Knob Screw P/N 0380105F01 is metric (5mm X .80 pitch X 9.5mm len).
Yes, the 10-32 screw does fit in the radio.
There is some side to side play as the diameter of the 10-32 is smaller.

Hi:

Interesting, I should have guessed that.

Anyhow, here is a photo of T-Screw ( left )
and a 10-32 SS Machine Screw ( Right ) Note the Pitch is almost identical, and some mfgs have slighly larger tolerences and the Tamper
Proof ones fit perfectly.

Although I use almost all Motorola hardware,
the 10-32x5/16 SS Anti-Tamper hardware fit so
well, I assumed they were 32 per inch pitch.

Anyhow, tnx for clearing up the issue on the
Correct size / pitch of the Bracket support
hardware.

Funny how " ALL " the Installation Book calls
for all US Standered Tools, and the T-Screws are Metric

The machine screw works very well. I mount the mic Clip to the same screw as the wing will not work. Raymond eMail [email protected]
