I have a dash mount A4, was a remote mount, now a dash mount (no, the kit is not for sale...)

upon installing interconnect p/n HLN6066, radio goes into transmit and locks up...

is this the right i-conn? if not, what is?

thanks guys

The manual revision FMR-1629A-5 shows the Rotary Dash Mount exploded parts list.

The interconnect board part number shown there is: HLN6285A

I have seen the same exact problem (constant transmit) as you describe when the wrong interconnect board is used. The one you have (HLN6066) will not work with an "Enhanced" head like the A4 probably has. The correct board is HLN6285 as has already been mentioned.

I have the same problem when using the Enhanced A7 head. They seem to work ok with the remote unit but when you change them to a dashmount, they go into automatic TX mode. Will this HLN6285A solve the same problem and does anyone know what the Motorola price is?
Thanks in advance,
John

I think the newer interface will solve your problem... it did for me. The last time I checked, the motorola price for the HLN6285A was $ 38.25.
