I have three Advisor pagers (the original with the big screen) that I need to set up on a new 900 Mhz freq. Programming the caps is no problem, but I don't usually mess with pagers so have no idea where to get the xtals in this small quantity, and I need someone to tune them up properly.

Jay: There is a shop in the Boston MA area which I used when I had Advisors, but I can't recall the name. The guy is honest, fast, and reasonable. I hope someone can jump in and give you his exact name.

Try PageCorp... http://www.pagecorp.com They made us some custom crystals for free a few years ago. We wanted to try setting up our own paging system on 900mhz ham channels, however, we couldn't find a good enough copy of the POCSAG protocol to write our own system.

What they told me a while ago is that they won't do short runs, but they were able to slide a sample batch through, since it was for an amateur radio club.

I would try some similar tactic (I'm looking to make a big order, but I'd like a sample type thing), and see what you can do.
