Is it worth it? How easy to do? Just a firmware upgrade or must major work be done such as board replacement and such. We're getting a large donation of B7 maxtracs that were on a Hybrid IIi system. My dept uses Type II smartnet exclusively. Any thoughts.
Easy upgrade. You're only talking about replacing an EEPROM (assuming that Mot still has it available) and then re-initializing the radio with a C6 codeplug.
I don't think I have the C6 codeplug anywhere but send me mail and I will send it if I can find it.
