A Motorola engineer told me this week that they have a replacement for the Quantar ready to go. He described it as an "evolution," as opposed to an entirely new platform. It's supposedly more than the next Trunking upgrade---he said it has major changes across the boards, including conventional (hardware changes). He said it is in Motorola Marketing's hands as to when it will be released.
Does anyone have any insite on this?
