512K-Everything but an Astro25 9600bps control channel (rare) and upto 2 encyption formats
1MEG-Everything and upto 3 encyption formats (at least mine does)
Lowband radio. The original and non-complicated wide area interoperable communications system

Astro Saber III 800 Mhz Codeplug

Post by Astrojedi »

I am in need of a codeplug for my Astro Saber Model 3 800 Mhz that has Smartzone (H38) and IMBE APCO-25 Astro (Q806). Must be saved in Astro Lab Version 3.04 so it can be read and I can dump it into the radio.
My Astro Saber 800 came with flashcode 540008-000000-7. This Flashcode SAYS that it has H38 but when I check it with my RSS (9.00) it does not appear (!!!!) INCREDIBLE!!! The codeplug misses a lot of options that are supposed to appear for this type of codeplug. So, that means that some idiot flashed the radio incorrectly or something terribly wrong happen in the Flashing process. I will appreciate if any one can help me on this issue.
Thanks....

1-MEG radios, and 512K radios, both use the same codeplugs. The flash chips hold the firmware, which requires 512K, or 1-MEG, depending on the version. Nothing to do with FLASHport features. You can put an ASTRO-25 codeplug in a 512K radio, it just won't work on an ASTRO-25 system. (error)

Shaun:

The firmware of the radio is R05.52.10 and DSP I06.04.12. I know that the codeplug cannot be read by the Lab 3.04 but I will try to read the codeplug without doing an unpack and dump it in the radio and check if does not make a FAIL 01/92
