Getting Host/DSP, FC, out of an ASTRO Spectra

roF, there is a cherry/near NEW 50 watt VHF ASTRO Spectra currently on eBay. You might want to check it out, if you are interested in VHF.

Problem is, it's going to go for BIG bucks. Probably well worth it, though.

Excellent, rOf. I knew you'd be on top of this thing!

I would suspect that there is no encryption module in it, but that's no big deal.

Do you know if it is the Low or High VHF split?

Looks like VHF High if it's the W5 on there.

I have a low split VHF 136-162.... Very nice radios. Mine's a W9 however. Can't do without the uber control head.

I wouldn't mind a W7 UHF.
