XTS3500 Program Cable - Pin Addition/Removal

Post by code3media »

OK guys, I need some help. I would like to make a programming cable out of a busted speaker mic. Question is how do I remove the plastic cover so I can get to the back of the pins?

What radios do you own?: MTS/MCS2000

cover..

first, where the earpiece adapter is, unscrew the retaining ring off of it. 2) the conical hard plastic cover which cable runs through, uncsrew it off and pull up, small orange o-ring under it. 3) pop the side cover off that covers the pins, push down on cable and...ta-da!! its out..
