XTS-2500 / XTS-5000 PROGRAMMING CABLE?

Post by SCOBRAS »

Has anyone either made or figured out how to make a programming cable for the XTS-2500 or the XTS-5000, serial or USB?

I know the "ribless" serial cable for the XTS5000 has a level converter of some kind built into it. I opened it up a while ago, and there is a MAX23_ chip and a bunch of other surface mount components inside. So, making one won't be super easy...

I've never seen the USB cable, though.

XTS 5 K serial cable

The interface module contains a Max232 series surface mount chip. The one without the caps. Should be easy to reproduce. If you don't like working with surfacemount , go to the leaded version and larger parts and box. Will work on the drawing of mine.
