Key Fail?

Post by jbxx »

Could anyone tell me what Key Fail means
on an XTS3K (Watchbuddy special).
The radio operates perfectly, as far as
I can tell. The message comes up on
initial start up, then dissapears.

Does it have a secure module in it?

If yes, then load a key in it -or-

If no (or you can't put a key in it), then disable "Secure Equipt" option so it doesn't look for the secure module.

The simple answers.

If you are having other problems IE: you have a secure module and you load a key in, but it still shows key fail..... or the like, just be a little more specific.

Hope that helps...

Disable software encryption if it's enabled. Software encryption hasn't worked for a long time in Motorola firmware.
