DEPARTMENT THAT WAS USING THE HT1250 SOLD THEM AND WENT BACK TO THERE HT1000.

CAN ANYONE TELL ME ABOUT THESE PROBLEMS AND

Well, that one has been beaten to death on the previous forum, but here goes.

HT1250 and HT750 use the same tranceiver.

Got a VHF model? Built before mid-2000? Send it to the depot for receiver and logic upgrades, while it's still under warranty. Standard antenna does not work right, old MT1000 antenna works better.

UHF models were fine, no receiver problems.

Is it better than the HT1000? Or as good? Not straight out of the box. It takes some knowledge to get them to play nice, but it can be done. I've dealt with them since late 1998, when they were rolled out. They have had their problems, and some of the bad press is deserved. But hearsay has given them a horrible rep that I don't believe is completely deserved. Many have had very good success with them. Just don't believe everything you hear.

The biggest problem I've had with mine was that it would turn its self off on me. Not good because you mis dispatches!! I got the firmware upgrade, and it doesn't do that as much, except now it is having trasmit problems. Don't get me wrong, I really like the radio and the features it has even over the MT-2000. I think the thing to do is get a brand new one rather then get one off of eBay or the such.
