mcx1000 remote head, can i use a computer cable?

mcx1000 remote head, can i use a computer cable?

hello there;

i was wondering if i can use a regular computer cable (32 serial)
for my control head for a mcx1000 it seems to look the same
cable wise, i wonder if the pins are the same?

AND

is it possible to make any mcx1000 dashmount a remote control
head type?

Any of the DB25 style connector radios will work with a GOOD QUALITY SHIELDED computer cable- no longer than 25'!

thanks for the info. I hope i can use one out of the box without
having the change any of pin configurations with the cables?

No need to change any of the pins. The DB25 are pin for pin compatable - just make sure all the pins are wired.
