My Lumina install pics

Post by Bob »

Greetings all. After seeing Stan 's Lumina and Jaymz's Lumina, I decided it was time to redo mine. The car is a base model 99 Lumina with the standard 60/40 split bench in front. The console is a modified Troy CC-C06. The MCS2000 is a mid-power VHF remote-mount, and is my primary radio. The Kenwood head controls a TK830 (UHF 450-490) and a TK630 (40-50) in a dual-band setup. The MaxTrac is an 800 MHz SmartNet unit, currently used for conventional operation. The Unitrol TM4 is a pre-FedSig unit and controls the lighting in the car. The lighting consists of front conrer strobes, a Tomar PLII in the dash, rear taillight strobes, and a dual dashmaster in the rear deck. I don't have pics of the outside yet, because it needs a severe washing. After I put everything back together, I realized that I forgot to put the ashtray back in. That'll give me something to do this evening, along with taking care of the stray wire in the trunk. Questions and comments are welcomed.

I still don't have the antennas all straightened out yet. I decided to wait and see if I could get the parts that I need while in Dayton. I also want to wash and wax the car before I take any pics of the outside of the vehicle. Either way, it'll be a few days because I'm Dayton-bound on Monday. Man, I'm looking forward to this trip. I have to get out of this town for a few days and be with people who are more like me.... And yes, it is as scary as it sounds.
