I just had a newly built CVictoria come in the shop that had a humming sound on radio transmit. It was a Kenwood TK series high power remote mount. The township's "mechanic" installed the radio (I assume to save money).
This clown attached the radio's power ground to the wingnut and stud which holds the spare tire in the car!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Talk about effing lazy! The power, surprisingly, was a #8 cable from Home Depot or somewhere and it ran up to the battery. The connections on the #8 were all crimped and taped.
I would like to tie this guy up and whip him with about 10' of #8 cable with the end stripped for doing this.
I've seen it all, now!
