Syntor X9000 RSS Frequency Limits

Post by WA3RAD »

I want to program my high band VHF Syntor X9000 radio to operate in the 145.1-147.9 MHz ham band and to program my UHF Syntor X9000 radio to operate in the 442.000-449.900MHz ham band. I have the Motorola Syntor X9000 RSS version R08.01.00 but do not have my RIB yet.

My question is, will the Motorola commercial version of RSS I have allow me to program the radios into these frequency ranges? Or do I need the so called "ham hacked" version of RSS to accomplish this?

Thanks,

Charlie

You can program the VHF frequencies. The UHF frequencies will not program any lower than 447 MHz. You will need a HAM hacked RSS for UHF.
