Interfacing external controller to RICK accessory port!

Post by d119 »

Hi Group!

Well it's working! I got it to work! Here's how I interfaced a Link Communications RLC-2 controller to the RICK accessory port, and got it to work:

First: Jumper RX connector pin 11 to ACCY connector pin 11 in the RICK.

Second: Connect the following:

Controller TX audio to RICK ACCY pin 5 (flat TX audio)
Controller RX audio to RICK ACCY pin 11 (RX audio)
Controller COS/PL to RICK ACCY pin 8 (PL/DPL/CSQ Sense)
Controller PTT to RICK ACCY pin 3 (Transmitter PTT)

Open S2-5 and S2-6, close S2-7 on the RICK

Make sure the audio jumper in the RX radio is set properly or audio will be very muffled.

Works great!
