Astro Spectra Rx Sql Adjustment

Hi Guys,
I have a few spectras and i need to lower the sql level.
I hear a signal when i drop the level when holding my mon button down,
but as soon as i go back to sql level one i hear nothing,
is there a manual way within the radio to adjust the level,
