Can a radio that is flashed for just Q806
APCO-25/IMBE and H38 Smartzone operation be able to be used for just monitoring an IMBE system or does it need Conventioinal operational also. I have come across a radio with a flashcode that is showing these 2 options only flashed into the radio.
Thanks,
Brian

Of COURSE it can handle conventional!

ALL Astro radios handle conventional, but
not all of them are trunked.

H35 conventional...just handles conventional.
H36 StartSite includes conventional.
H37 Smartnet includes StartSite and conventional.
H38 SmartZone includdes Smartnet, StartSite, and conventional.

The packages ADD features, they don't take them away.

Those are not flashcodes. They are option codes, which represent features that are part of a flashcode. I'm sure someone can cross-reference those options and tell you what they mean, but I don't know off hand. However I think some of them are identified in the flashcode decoder ring which is at batlabs.com, utilities and other resources section.
