Ok guys (and gals), I'm hoping someone can help me thru my dead brain syndrome today. Is the model # decoding for an XTS3000 the same/similar to the JEDI series radios? Someone has asked me to preview his auctyion, and he's got the model # H09KDF9PW7BN. I looked for model #s for XTS3000s and came up with bupkis.

VHF, I think Model 3. The H09 just means Handheld Series 9(basically) the KDF tells you a little more about power and bandsplit and possibly the display and keypad. The generic model number decoder should work for you. They are also similar to the Astro Saber model numbers.

That is just a model II (2) xts 3K VHf,
here is the XTS3000 model list breakdown,
H09KDC9PW5_N is Model I (1) VHF xts3k,
H09KDF9PW7_N is VHF model II (2) xts3k, and
H09KDH9PW7_N is a model III (3) xts3k VHF. The underscore _ is just the revision number.
If you replace the KDH with a RDH it becomes a UHF low split 403-470 XTS3K radio. If you replace the KDH with a SDH the radio is a UHF high split 450 - 520 XTS3K. If you replace the KDH with a UCH then it is an 800 MHz XTS3K.
as you can see the 6th character tells which model it is, C= model 1, F=model 2 and H model 3. While the 4th character tells the bandsplit, K=VHF, R=uhf low, S=UHF hi and U=800 MHz.
