Astro equipment on ebay to avoid!! READ

Post by spectragod »

I just had an IM with the seller of several radios on Ebay, I am quite skeptacle if they even exist, I will include a copy of the IM that transspired between the two of us, the seller said he didn't care, I will also post a link to his auction. Hopefully, none of us will get burned by a kook like this.

The link.....
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... :X:BN:US:2

The IM......

Or geeeee: hi
motorolahacker: how ya doin?
Or geeeee: this is [email protected]
Or geeeee: good you
motorolahacker: fine
Or geeeee: ok lets get to bussiness
motorolahacker: that's fine
Or geeeee: ok
Or geeeee: what you looking for
motorolahacker: are these radio's built from parts? or "new"
Or geeeee: brand new
motorolahacker: ok, I need a 800 for sure, vhf is a tossup
motorolahacker: what kind of $$$
Or geeeee: ok how much will you pay what do you think
motorolahacker: they are your radio's, I am sure you know what you need for them
motorolahacker: I will obviously say as little as possible
Or geeeee: ya but i like to see what you would pay for them
motorolahacker: I don't like games, you know what you want for your equipment, look at my ebay feedback, I'm not a kid or a deadbeat
Or geeeee: ok ok these radios
motorolahacker: yes
Or geeeee: 800.00 a peice now you go and see what you will pay
motorolahacker: Are they complete and are they model I, II's or III'sn
Or geeeee: i have all of them 1 2 and 3
Or geeeee: what ones do u need
motorolahacker: model 3 meaning with a full keypad
Or geeeee: yes i have them
motorolahacker: these are new in the box with serial number tags??
Or geeeee: yes
motorolahacker: Is there a reason that they are so cheap?
motorolahacker: and what flashcode is in them?
Or geeeee: i have too much inventory
Or geeeee: i need to get ride of some so i can get more
motorolahacker: ok, will you ship Fed Ex COD to a business?
Or geeeee: no i cant
motorolahacker: I see
Or geeeee: sorry
motorolahacker: good luck
Or geeeee: i can ship fedex but no cod
Or geeeee: what ever loser
motorolahacker: seeing as how you have a zero feedback on ebay, that's the best I can do for that kind of money, I don't have a problem with the $800 per unit, but I need to physicaly see it in person before I will come off almost 2K
motorolahacker: still there?
Or geeeee: yes
motorolahacker: well great, I see you had no response for my message but did manage to call me a loser, that's not a real good sales tactic
motorolahacker: Since your so short for words, I will post this IM in it's entirety on the Bat Labs board with a link to you auctions, that ought to help sales speed along for you
Or geeeee: what ever [ Moderated ] loser
Or geeeee signed on at 9:24:58 PM.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't feel this seller has a lot to offer, I feel some of us may be waiting around for equipment for quite some time, the seller also started his account on 12/5/02, just FYI.

Sounds like that dude is a real scam artist, he is gonna sell xts5000s for $800.00 a piece with tags brand new lol I definately would have to see the radio in my hand as well before I would give that dude any money. Then on top of that he has to many of them geeeez he must be rich or something but it looks like he removed them off of Ebay I am not sure but when I tried to look it up they were not there anymore lol. So no pictures and he has an over stock of xts5000s lol sounds like a bunch of BS to me.

I wonder if Motorola lost a load of radios somewhere on the road?

Offer to pick the radios up in person. See what his response is to that! If he's selling them for 800/unit, I'll buy ALL of the ones that he has, and I'll pick them up in person.

Anyway, looks like it's all over. Scammer exposed; auctions pulled.

Yeah, might as well lock this one - use the other forum for other comments, but I think we have pretty much beat this idiot over the head.
