Hex editing CM300 down to 144 MHz

Post by ronross »

I have a CM300 that I would like to program down to 144 MHz. I am using CPS 5.18. I tired hex editing as described in other topics on the Batboard, but the radio will still not accept a frequency lower than 146 MHz.

Has anyone figured out how to hex edit on CPS 5.18?

Did you solve this???? Its been a long time, but I seem to remember that once you edit the codeplug and get your frequencies inputted, do not read the radio again, but rather save the codeplug and edit it as required, and rewrite it back into the radio. The trick is to keep track of your file by date stamping it or something like that.
