Astro Saber III RSS in Germany??

Post by AndreasP »

Hello all,

first, i live in Germany and my english is very bad, and i hope you can understand what i mean

Ok i hope i write in the correct board.

I have a Astro Saber III VHF radio, and i want to read it out, but my RSS08.50.00 says that the codeplug in the radio is to new! What does that mean, is my RSS to old? And when my RSS is to old, where can i get the newest RSS here in Germany? I think i´m the only person her in germany who has this Astro saber III

I only need this RSS, because i would like to know what this radio can do, and how does it work. I need the RSS ONLY for PRIVATE use, too.

Can anybody help me? And how much does the RSS cost?

Greetings

AndreasP

What radios do you own?: X9000 thru APX

The message means you need newer RSS. The radio was last written by a RSS verison higher than 8.5. I believe the newest DOS RSS is 9.5. Once you go up a version, you cannot go back.
Lowband radio. The original and non-complicated wide area interoperable communications system

Last time I checked it was roughly $395 USD (that might have been $375, I don't recall.)
