I have a astro saber 3 UHF 450-520 I have a problem with microphonic feedback a few weeks ago and that was fixed by replacing the 4 screws that hold the vocoder and rf deck together but now in analog mode and when it's turned up if I tap on the back of the housing I can hear the tapping through the speaker ????? any help would be great.

regards

If you can only hear this when the channel is active, and it's not overly sensitive, it's not that big a deal. Almost all electronic components have SOME microphonic characteristics.

Both of my UHF Astro Saber III's do what you described, and my VHF one does it just a little bit. I wouldn't worry unless it's bad enough to interfere with communications.
