Astro Spectra Vocon?

Are 512K and 1meg vocoder boards in an Astro Spectra interchangeable? Can you take one out and replace it with the other without and problem? Thanks

Yes you can, you really only need the 1 meg board for some functions that you will most likely never use, packet data comes to mind as one of them, I will assume you are looking at the boards XDClabs has on ebay, I will say that you can buy what you need from Mark with confidence.

Thanks for the kind words, D. I haven't been here in 3 weeks. For the record, the features that will not work on a 512K vocoder, for the simple fact that the firmware version that has these features is too large to fit in a 512K flash part, are also APCO OTAR and 9600 digital control channel trunking.
