CLONING AN A/S 3 TO AN XTS3K

Post by CHEFA2001 »

Can I somehow clone frequencies w/o having to manually re-enter everything. 200+ modes....

I am using the most current CPS by the way.

Easy stuff, it's documented in the help tutorial movies if you installed them, or they're on the CD as well. Simply start the CPS and open up your XTS codeplug. Now, while keeping that program running, start up the CPS again. Sure enough, it'll open up a second CPS window. Open up your AS codeplug in that one. You can now "drag & drop" from one window to the other. If you wish to copy all of your channels from one to the other, simply click & drag the green "conventional personalities" from one window to the other & drop it into the conventional personalities in the other window. That's the one major thing I like about CPS as opposed to DOS RSS, it allows you to do this between models that normally won't clone, and even between completely different radios. Check the help tutorials for more info if needed.

Thanks Todd. I had already changed everything over manually for over 220 modes, and finished it manually to play it safe. I figured there was a slight error margin, so I ended up opening up both radios original codeplugs and dragging everything over, eventhe scan lists.

Thanks Todd, worked great.
