Low audio...
Seth:
Assuming the deviation is set wide enough...
Mic element on the shield?
Ugh. Ribbon cable soldering. I hate when that happens. I have a short shield from a Saber I if you need it for the part.

HI:
With Sabers, many things can have a impact on the
transmitt dev / Audio quality.
1. Debrie Blocking the small hole that is in front of the
mic element. ( If yoy have a external Speaker / Mic ) try
one, see if the audio is the same
2. If you CREATED a new RPF, then you may have to [ Realighn]
the TX and Audio Dev Settings, this is done in the Service Screen
and its a very good idea to have a Service Monitor availible
3. There is always a chance the Mic element is bad
4. if you have tried all the above, and all no improvement is seen.
you may have a more series problem with your radio.

If you have an external Speaker Mic try it out and see what happens.
If the TX audio comes up in volume you have some sort of internal problem. Could be a radio Mic element bad, blockage etc.
I have a Saber III here with low audio and I am waiting for a UHF main board to arrive to see if that fixes it. This particular Saber works fine with an external mic though. I have tried a new internal mic element spkr assy with no improvement.
Of course the first step would be assuring the proper setting within the RSS. The deviation defaults are a good starting point and are usually pretty close.
