What radios do you own?: MTS2000, Spectra & VRS/PA

Are there different versions of the ENHANCED Convertacom? I have one that works with the 16ch MT1000's but the ENHANCED features (chnl display, scan, channel select, PL, MON) don't work with my 99 Ch MT1000.It acts like a basic MVA - TX / RX works and scan from the radio's toggle works.
Any Ideas?
Thanks.

sounds like the pins on top arent making contact. check inside the converta-com to make sure all are working and arent stuck in the down position, if not, then id say your controller has a loose wire inside holding to contacts.

There are different versions of MT1000's that would work or not with the enhanced MVA. The MT1000 "B" models will only work with the enhanced features otherwise it would operate the way you say yours is. If your 16 channel MT1000 is working in the MVA (like you mentioned), chances are, there isn't a problem in the MVA unit.

OK. both my 16 ch MT's work the MVA perfectly.
with the 99 CH one only these work;
tx, rx, volume.
these don't;
scan, mon, ch up, ch dn, pl/nopl.
It's like the radio does not see the ENHANCED part. you have to change CH, Scan etc from the radio.
I am wondering if the pad on the radio is defective.
