Allways get communication error etc.

My cable works fine on a VHF MX3000, but here ?

Which is right soft ?

Its no label outside the radio, can I found something inside, to identy th radio ?

Its a UHF modell !

Many thnaks for help

What radios do you own?: Progreso soup can with CRT

Why in the world would you try to use MX software on a Saber?

The two Saber software versions are versions six and seven. (R06.01.00 and R07.01.00, or numbers somewhat similar)

What speed is your computer running at? What type of processor is in your computer? Are you running a true DOS program or are you trying to run the "phony" DOS which runs under Windows 95 and 98?

If you run an uncorrupted version six or seven software for the Saber from a 386/486 computer in standard DOS with a RIB which is known to work you should encounter no problems. If any of those items is not present then you could have serious problems in getting the radio to read to the computer and to accept a modified program from your computer.

Check out one thing at a time and let us know how it turns out.

I tested 286 and 486er PC, with a MX3000 and MX soft, my hardware works fine on both PC.

No label outside the radio, I don't know whats exactly type from this radio.

I don't know about anyone else, but I have only been able to get Systems Saber to work successfully on a 386 or slower computer. On anything else, it seems to work during the COMM Test but then gives me a comm error reading the radio. I know you mentioned using a 286 but with all the mix and matching you have been doing, you might want to try again on a slow computer.

Does the radio look like anyother MX radio?
If the housing is smaller than a Saber maybe it's an MX3000, just let me now!
If it looks exacly like the MX3000......there is a special PTT version of the radio!
Special RSS...
Greetings,
GJ

Hi

Its exactly the same case from MX3000, I have a MX3000 VHF and I have swap the cases to test, its a failure from connector.

Looks like the MX3000, but the name Saber on it.

Inside a serial number 657IRL5272

On Keyboard inside a date nov 30 1989
