got a vhf hi-band spectra transmitting fine but absolutely no recive. Working great and just quit! What part or parts have to be replaced to replace the reciver?? (partnumbers please)

SEND THE RADIO TO THE DEPOT.

Your cost will be much less than the cost of a new RF board anyway, and they'll fix everything that's wrong with it (including replacing all the buttons if you tell them to)

of course, if you have a hacked up POS, then you're SOL...LOL

Fred, did you check to see if the speaker amplifier IC was trashed? It is the big IC that is attached to the chassis. It is common for these ICs to fail if one grounds a speaker line, even for one second!!!!
You could check the radio's receive discriminator line with a scope and see if it is working. There are several places to check with a scope that will isolate the malfunction.
