Just like how a pair of computer speakers react when you key a portable next to it, one of my car speakers reacts the same when by the mic on my CDM 1550 is keyed.
The radio is professionally installed, everything grounded appropriately. When the radio is keyed, you hear a "thud" in the speaker after you let the PTT go. Does this damage the speaker in the long run? It only happens to the front passenger speaker, so I went and tried to look around the door panels for any signs of trouble. The power lines to the mobile run along the frame of the vehicle, just past the speaker. I thought the original motorola cables were shielded. I didn't have this problem a week ago, it just sort of happened.
Anyone have any advice?

Is it a VHF radio? Unfortunately they are prone to interfere with car stereo, especially in the AM band. The only cable that is shielded is the coax. The power wires would not be shielded. Assuming you don't have the main power or an ignition sense wire hooked up to the car stereo fuse on the fusebox, I'd double check the antenna and coax, making sure the coax/connector isn't shorted and check for excessive reflected power with an swr meter.
