Squelch Setting for AS3 without RSS

Post by code3media »

Is there a way to change the squelch setting on the AS3? Maybe a setting in RSS that allows you to change it in the field. Any ideas?

Thanks

Go to more options in the personality screen. There is a fine tune squelch adjustment.

I know you're thinking along the lines of the user squelch levels for the Spectra, but no, not that I know of.

In reference to this I was a little confused by the F1 screen initially

It would appear lower numbers lower the squelch threshold I think I read F1 wrong...

Normally the squelch defaults to a value of 6 which is too high for some poeple's liking. Lowering the value will lower the squelch sensitivity. THis is done for each personality so if you have a channel that has a single user, you can make it more sensitive.

This is accessed from the main menu by hitting F6, F3, then select the personality you want to change. Then F9 for more options.

Thanks Todd, you hit it right on the nose. That was what I was looking for. Too bad though.

Thanks to all for your replies. I guess I will just have to adjust each channel in RSS to the acceptable setting.
