Read/Write codeplug

Post by ASTRO_25 »

Hi Folks,

I've attempted force a codeplug into my ASTRO Saber using Read/Write w/o unpack - and I now run into a FAIL 01/92 error after this. Now, trying to force the old original codeplug back into the radio still results in a FAIL 01/92.

Any ideas on how to get my original codeplug back into the radio with minimal damage?

Thanks!
Yummy.... bacon and eggs.

What radios do you own?: Too many!

what RSS were you using? I would force it with MTSX LAB, but write down all of your tuning values first...

Attempting to force an IMBE codeplug into an IMBE radio with the "standard" available version of Astro LAB (3.04, I think) will result in that error. The RSS does not understand the IMBE and will give the "unrecoverable block error" type reading. It will then still let you load the packed codeplug into the radio, but as you can see, it will be messed up.

Read the same IMBE codeplug with MTSX LAB 3.00.02 (or something like that) and it will give you the "codeplug too new/old" type error, but it will not corrupt the data, and you can then force the packed archive into the radio. This should restore your radio.
