as3 aduio tinny

Any reason the audio on an as3 will be tinny at hi-mid to high audio volume, also a little echo? The emphasis is enabled...

it is:

Flash FC0101-8F8A00-1

I thought maybe a bad speaker..changed the shields....not it...

any ideas...
