AS3 loading Non XL DVP key

I have a AS3 with DVP-DVP-XL I have the T3014DX KVL and now I want to load a Non XL DVP key into it the AS3 I think I need to use a DVP KVL T3010DX KVL can I upgrade my DVP T3010BX KVL to a T3010DX By just upgrading the Eprom ?

No a T3010AX or BX can not be upgraded to DX. Only a CX can be upgrade. The internals are totally different. Sorry.

Something that I have never tried, but wondered...

There is an option under the secure screen that asks you if you are using -XL encryption or not. Try turing that option off. and try loading the radio with the -XL loader and see if it works.

Just an idea

Hi PJ No I don’t think this will work with DVP-XL I know it will work with DES-XL With out a problem I think its to do with the KVL Keys the DVP-XL has a lot more then a DVP key If you load a DVP-XL Key in to a DVP it will default to 000000000000000000001
