When purchasing a used Astro Saber which option code # is required for Conventional (Analog) system access?

I assume you actually mean analog trunking, not analog conventional. All Astro radios can do analog conventional frequencies. In order to do analog trunking, you need at the bare minimum the H36 Starsite option, which will allow Type II trunking capability. H37 (SmartNet) and H38 (SmartZone) will also give you that capability, along with expanded features. The Flashcode will need to have either a 2, 4, or 8 in the 6th spot from the left:
00000X-000000-0 where X represents where the digits have to be.

ASTRO Analog
Hi Todd,
Thank you very much for this information. As I indicated in my initial request I am new to ASTRO & digital ops. I am interested only in analog conventional ops at this time however plan to began experimenting with it's digital capability. I was not aware that analog conventional was available on all ASTRO sabers.

Do any of the astros do LS or LTR type trunking?
The shop I work for has Trunking on V/U/SHF (YES 5ch on 800! NOT PublicSafety either....Wouldn't sell out to
