I have several dash mount Astro Spectras 800 mhz ID# D04UJH9PW7AN that have the PWR button disabled somehow.

It is not an option in the RSS that I can find. The radio powers up from the main power connector only. No power is reqired via the aux connector in the rear.

Does anyone know how and where a modification might have been made to disable the pwr button thus preventing the radio from being turned off?

I have checked:
Bad buttons - not likely on multiple radios
RSS Option - Have looked not there
Prog Manual - No mention of this

Don't quote me on this too much, but I thought awhile ago on the other forum, that there is a jumper (at least on the analog Spectras) that can be jumpered that will bypass the button. I will try to do a search for it, but I believe it had something to do with the data only spectra's.

I cant remember what the location is but there is a jumper on the control head that
you need to cut or remove If you look at the back of the control head it is at the bottom of the board to the right sideabout 1 inch
from the cornner it should just be a jomper
that you can remove.I will try to get a location number and send it to you.I have had to do this alot on the radios that where
used for base stations.
